The Baptist Union of Papua New Guinea (BUPNG) has immediate vacancies for the following positions. These are full time positions based in Telefomin Rural Hospital, Sandaun Province.

Health Information Officer (CHSSAN005)

Purpose of the role

Reporting to the Health Manager, the Health Information Officer is responsible to in the collection and analysis of statistical data to determine trends in the health status of the District, Province & Nation Collects and analyses statistical data on trends in nation’s health status.

• Prepares tables and analytical reports from statistical heath data.
• Ensures the dissemination of Annual Statistical Reports and other publication or data sets.
• Develops and administers questionnaires and other data collection instruments.
• Examines correlations and associations between socio demographic characteristics and health status indicators and assesses the factors that affect health status of the population.

Requirements for the role:

• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, or related field is required
• 3-5 work experience in a similar role is desirable
• Experience with a variety of Information Management applications, programming languages, and technologies preferred.
• Good Public Relation and Communication skills
• Must have a valid NID Card or must be in the process of obtaining one
