We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Fitter to join a well-respected PNG company. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, servicing, and repair of a wide range of heavy machinery and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy equipment (excavators, loaders, graders, trucks, etc.)
• Identify and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues
• Perform equipment inspections and complete service reports
• Ensure all work is carried out to high safety and quality standards
• Collaborate with supervisors and operators to minimise downtime
• Maintain workshop tools and equipment in good working condition

Skills & Experience

• Trade qualification as a Heavy Equipment Fitter / Diesel Fitter (or equivalent)
• Proven experience with heavy machinery in mining, construction, or similar industries
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
• Commitment to workplace safety
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Previous supervisory experience would be highly regarded
