Reinhold Engineering and Group of Companies Limited is a nationally owned civil works and building construction company based in Port Moresby. As we continue to grow and strengthen our operations across Papua New Guinea, we are seeking a capable and experienced Heavy Equipment Fitter.

About the Role

The Heavy Equipment Fitter will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing all of the Company’s heavy equipment and machinery to ensure safe and smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical repairs as well as preventative maintenance on our Cat Graders, Komatsu Track Excavator, XCMG Excavator, XCMG Wheel Digger, XCMG Tyre Roller, CAT Roller Single Drum, XCMG Roller Double Drum, CAT Backhoe, Sunny Grader and Dump Trucks etc.
• Determine what parts and tools are necessary to make repairs
• Complete paperwork to ensure parts are ordered in a timely manner
• Test equipment that has been repaired and make adjustments where needed
• Be able to disassemble, overhaul and reassemble equipment
• Consult equipment operating manuals and blueprints
• Travel to worksites to repair heavy equipment
• Adhere to Company OHSE policies and a procedures
• Maintain equipment repair logs
• Provide training and leadership to Mechanical Trade Assistants
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Other duties in line with the position as requested by Management

Qualifications and Experience

• NATTB Trade Certificate III in Heavy Equipment Fitting
• Minimum of 5years work experience as a Heavy Equipment Fitter or a similar role preferably within civil & construction industry.
• Physical stamina to lift heavy parts and work in awkward and confined spaces
• Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure
• Valid Class 4, 6 & 7 Driver's Licenses
