We are seeking to recruit Drillers for our Mining – Drill & Blast Department. Reporting to the Drilling Supervisor, the successful applicants will mainly be responsible for safely executing planned drilling operations to facilitate blasting activities.

Key roles and responsibilities include:

• Operating D65 Epiroc Drills to drill blast holes
• Read and interpret drill maps to ensure accurate drilling
• Maintaining Drilling equipment to ensure optimal performance
• Keep detailed logs of drilling progress and report any issues.
• Conducting safety checks and follow all safety regulations.
• Collaborating with team members to ensure efficient drilling and pattern completion.
• Inspecting drill holes to ensure they meet design specifications
• Conducting drilling QAQC

Qualifications, Skills and Experience required:

• At least 2-3 years’ experience in Blasthole Drilling in an Open Pit Mine environment
• Experienced in either Downhole Hammer Drill Rig (D65) or Rotary Drill Rig (DM30)
• Possess strong inter- personal attributes with regards to punctuality and commitment
• Must be a Team Player
• Minimum Grade 10 qualification desirable
• Ability to communicate in English and Tok Pisin
• Open Pit Blasting experience preferable
