We are seeking to recruit an Intelligence Officer, for our SHSR – Investigations Department. Reporting to the Senior Investigator. The successful applicant will mainly be responsible in monitoring, analysing, and disseminating intelligence related to potential security risks and assisting in the development of strategies to enhance security measures.

Key roles and responsibilities include:

• Threat Assessment: Conduct in-depth assessments of security threats, vulnerabilities, and risks to the organization.
• Intelligence Gathering: Collect and analyse relevant information from various sources, including open source intelligence, internal data, and external partners.
• Monitoring: Continuously monitor security-related developments and incidents on a global scale to stay ahead of potential threats.
• Analysis: Analyse data to identify patterns, trends, and potential security risks, and provide actionable intelligence to decision-makers.
• Reporting: Prepare clear and concise intelligence reports, threat assessments, and situational updates for internal stakeholders.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, legal, and physical security, to develop and implement effective security strategies.
• Incident Response: Assist in the development and execution of incident response plans in the event of security breaches or crises.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to security and intelligence.
• Training: Develop and deliver security awareness training programs for employees to enhance security culture.
• Technology Utilization: Utilize technology and tools to support intelligence gathering and analysis efforts.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience required:

• Tertiary qualification in a related field (e.g., Security Studies, Criminal Justice, Intelligence Analysis).
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Information Systems Security Professional, Certified Threat Intelligence Analyst) preferred.
• Prior experience in security intelligence, law enforcement, or military intelligence is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and report-writing abilities.
• Proficiency in using intelligence tools and software.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• PNG Class 6 drivers licence.
• Microsoft Office - Intermediate
