Hospitality and Events Coordinator

Hargy Oil Palms Limited (HOPL), located in Bialla, WNBP, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Hospitality and Events Coordinator to oversee the operations of the Hargy Senior Staff Club (HSSC), Hargy Guest House (HGH), and the HSSC Café.

This position is responsible for overseeing and coordinating hospitality services to ensure a safe, welcoming, and efficient environment for employees, guests, and their families. Reporting to the Head of Human Resources and working in close collaboration with the HSSC Committee, the role ensures that HOPL’s guest accommodation and social facilities operate smoothly, foster a family-friendly club culture, and comply with all relevant safety and sustainability standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee operations and staff at the HSSC, HGH, and Café to maintain high service and safety standards.
  • Manage budgets, control costs, and provide accurate financial and management reporting to the HSSC Committee.
  • Supervise booking systems, invoicing, and logistics for the HGH and Club.
  • Monitor inventory and stock levels; conducting daily stocktakes, ensure timely ordering, proper storage, and menu planning with minimal waste.
  • Coordinate and manage club and guest house events, ensuring they are well-executed and within budget.
  • Collaborate with Central Stores and logistics to manage the supply chain efficiently.
  • Uphold hygiene, security, and RSPO/OHS compliance across all facilities.
  • Develop and coach hospitality staff and arrange relevant training programs.
  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and family-friendly club environment, supporting the club committee in the organisation and management of key HSSC events and functions.


Qualifications, Experience and Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in Hospitality, Event Management, Business Administration or related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a similar role with proven experience in hospitality operations, budgeting, event coordination, and staff management.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills as well as competency in Microsoft Office and hospitality management systems. Past BEPOZ an advantage but not necessary.
  • Ability to work outside normal hours including weekends.
