HR Consultant
Our Kompiam hospital is looking for a skilled HR Consultant to lead recruitment, HR system administration, contract management, and compensation analysis. This contractor position requires expertise in hospital workforce management, compliance, and industry benchmarking. Must be familiar with Department of Personnel Management and Chrisitan Health Services (CHS) onboarding process and HR policies.
Scope of Work
- Recruitment & Hiring
- Candidate sourcing, screening, and selection
- Coordinating interviews and managing hiring timelines
- Recruiting for unfilled positions in healthcare roles
- HR System Setup & Administration
- HR database management and policy implementation
- Streamlining employee onboarding processes
- Contract & Employment Documentation
- Drafting employment contracts aligned with CHS HR and organizational policies
- Ensuring compliance with PNG labour laws and hospital regulations
- Compensation & Benefits Analysis (Salary Benchmarking)
- Salary benchmarking for competitive pay structures
- Reviewing compensation fairness across departments
Qualifications and Requirements
- Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
- PNG Human Resource Institute (PNGHRI) Certification
- 5+ years of HR experience, preferably in healthcare or hospital settings
- Strong knowledge of PNG employment laws and workforce compliance regulations
- Proficiency in HR systems (e.g. payroll management, employee records, policy frameworks)
- Experience in salary benchmarking and compensation analysis for PNG’s labour market
Contract Summary
- Duration: Fixed-term consultancy (3 months)
- Work Modality: On-site and remote coordination at Kompiam District Hospital
- Compliance: Must be familiar with CHs workforce policies and PNG labour laws
- Compensation: Based on experience and industry benchmarks (negotiable)
- Deliverables: completion of recruitment and HR system setup within 3 months
