HR Contracts Officer

The Commercial division seeks potential candidate for the position of HR Contracts Officer within Human Resource Department. This position is based in Port Moresby.

HR Contracts Officer ensures that administering and managing employee contracts, ensuring compliance with policies, and providing guidance on HR matters related to contracts. This includes tasks like preparing and processing contracts, managing data, and supporting contract renewals or amendments.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Prepare, process, and maintain accurate records of employment contracts.
  • Ensure contracts adhere to relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Assist with contract renewals, amendments, and changes in terms of employment.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date information related to contracts and employee data.
  • Provide guidance and support to employees and management regarding contract-related matters.
  • Collate data for reporting purposes to executive management and relevant departments.
  • Assist in interpreting HR policies and procedures related to contracts.
  • May assist in conducting cost-benefit analyses for contracts.
  • Liaise with various stakeholders, including HR staff, employees, and other departments.
  • Maintain and update contract databases.
  • Participate in other HR activities as needed.

Requirements for the position:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR software.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy.
  • Knowledge of HR policies and procedures.
  • Understanding of relevant employment laws and regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
