  • Support compliance with PNG employment legislation, regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Oversee and support site-level HR administration, payroll coordination and workforce reporting.
  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement of HR policies, procedures and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Support broader HR activities, including recruitment, onboarding, workforce planning and employee development.

About You
We are seeking an experienced Employee Relations professional with a strong operational focus and the confidence to manage challenging workplace matters in a remote environment.

Ideally, you will bring:
  • At least 5 years' experience in employee relations, industrial relations or HR management, with 10+ years highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated experience managing workplace investigations, grievances, disciplinary processes and performance management matters.
  • Strong knowledge of employment legislation, industrial relations frameworks and HR best practices.
  • Experience working within mining, resources, construction or other complex industrial environments.
  • Previous experience working in remote site operations will be highly regarded.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • The ability to work independently, exercise sound judgement and build credibility with operational leaders and employees.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Law or a related discipline would be advantageous.
Above all, we are looking for a practical, resilient and solutions-focused professional who enjoys being visible across the operation and is equally comfortable engaging with frontline employees and senior management.

The Opportunity
This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to workforce stability, employee engagement and the continued development of effective people management practices within a mining environment.
The successful candidate will join a professional HR function and play an important role in supporting operational leadership, strengthening employee relations and contributing to broader workforce initiatives.
