Operating in Papua New Guinea for over 30 years, Nestle PNG Limited is seeking a qualified and experienced HR Professional to join our HR Team, based in Lae.
Reporting directly to the Country HRBP, the HR Generalist role is multifaceted, encompassing the support of keyHR agendas and initiatives, as well as providing timely support to other functional heads. By fulfilling these responsibilities, the HR Generalist helps drive organizational success, fosters employee engagement, and ensures the effective implementation of HR practices throughout the organization.
Key responsibilities:
- Support Managing the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, screening resumes,
conducting interviews, and making job offers. - Facilitating the smooth onboarding process for new employees, including conducting orientation
sessions, completing necessary paperwork, and ensuring a positive experience. Similarly, manages the
offboarding process, including exit interviews and necessary documentation. - Acting as a point of contact for employees, addressing their concerns, and providing guidance on HR
policies and procedures fostering positive employee relations, resolving conflicts, and promoting a
healthy work environment. - Assisting in the implementation and administration of performance management processes, including
goal setting, performance evaluations, and performance improvement plans. - Coordinating key competency trainings to enhance employee skills and knowledge including
mandatory online training programs. - Ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations, as well as company policies and
procedures. - Assisting in the administration of compensation and benefits programs, including salary reviews,
benefits enrolment, and addressing employee inquiries related to compensation and benefits. - Maintaining accurate employee records, updating HR databases, and generating HR reports as needed.
- Supporting initiatives to enhance employee engagement, such as organizing employee events,
recognition programs, and employee surveys. - Handling various administrative tasks, such as managing contracts, employee files, processing HR
related documentation, and ensuring compliance with record-keeping requirements.
Qualification, skills, and experience:
- Degree/Diploma in Human Resource or related disciplines.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to work in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment.
- Sound commercial or business acumen
- Familiar with the use of MS Office Suite. Knowledge of SAP/Success Factor is desirable
