HR OFFICER – LAE BASE
International Food Corporation Ltd, the leading manufacturer of Besta Mackerel and Tuna products in PNG and the South Pacific, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a HR Officer.
Overall Responsibilities:
The Human Resource Officer is responsible for the management and supervision of the workers employment activities within employment section assigned supervise.
Job Responsibilities:
- Support the implementation Human Resource Policies, procedure and organization standard.
- Coordinate recruitments activities job advertisement, screening, interview, reference checks and onboarding of new employee.
- Ensure all HR Laws and policies and procedures are strictly been respect and followed with compliance with the company policies and regulations.
- Supervising of the workers at the HR Employees service section, such as Cafeteria, Gumboots washing, sanitizing, laundry areas.
- To ensure that the workers comply with standard operating Procedure (GMP, SSOP and HACCP), while carry out their daily task and duty.
- To create and keep reliable items and equipment’s, which are being purchased and used for proper records keeping and reporting purposed.
- Managing company vehicle, coordinating maintenance and upgrading when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, labor laws, workplace health and safety requirements, and HR best practices.
- Coordinate staff induction, orientation, and training programs to support employee development and workplace compliance.
- Preparing management for office staffs and Managers, overseeing and preparing expense reports budgets.
- Must be fixable and be willing to be moved from one department or section to another upon the management decisions depending on the individuals and work result.
- Must be able to learn the standard requirement of GMP, HACCP, SSOP, employee terms and condition and the PNG Fisheries Standard Requirements.
- To Ensure the standard documents procedure had to be complied within the process of recording, keeping and filling of organization data.
- Had to know and practice all relevant organizational Health and Safety Measures and requirement which are involve in your working environment in compliance in the company organization health and safety policies.
- Must be familiar with the audit standard and requirements such as BRC/IFC, HALAL and also any other audit undertaken by canned fish producing industries.
REQUIRMENT:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Human Resource Management, Business Administration.
- Professional HR certification or membership with a recognized HR body is an added advantage.
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in Human Resources.
- Experience in recruitment, employee relations, disciplinary processes, payroll coordination, and HR administration is preferred.
- Sound knowledge of employment laws, labor relations, and workplace disciplinary procedures.
- Good understanding of recruitment and selection processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and HR information systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive matters objectively and fairly.
