Job Summary:
As an HR Project Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of strategic HR initiatives that span multiple business units and contribute to workforce and departmental outcomes. Your role involves coordinating project activities, tracking progress, and ensuring milestones are met by applying sound project management practices. You will provide professional support across planning, implementation, and reporting phases to help drive successful execution of HR projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, Schedule and track HR project milestones and deliverables.
- Maintain project documentation, timelines and risk registers.
- Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and document action items.
- Develop project plans, and contributes to the implementation of projects using sound project principles.
- Review, update, and format HR manuals, guidelines, and policies to reflect current practices and compliance standards.
- Liaise with internal teams, managers and external partners to ensure alignment and timely input.
- Support communication strategies to keep stakeholders informed and engaged.
- Collect, analyze, and present data to support evidence-based decision-making.
- Prepare progress reports, dashboards, and post-implementation reviews.
- Map and review HR processes to identify gaps, inefficiencies, or compliance risks.
- Develop change management plans and conduct awareness.
- Design and rollout revised or improved workflows, systems, or policies.
- Ensure project activities align with HR policies, employment laws, and organizational standards.
- Track approvals, version control, and audit trails for project documentation.
Qualification and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Human Resource Management or a related field.
- Proven knowledge and experience within all HR Functions.
- Strong research and writing skills, demonstrating the ability to translate information into clear and succinct written recommendations, reports and briefings.
- Well-developed planning and organizational skills and experience in providing project support.
- Demonstrates the expected behaviors of the leadership context for this role.
