Human Resource Coordinator
We are now recruiting for a Human Resource Coordinator. The Human Resource Coordinator will be based in Port Moresby and will report directly to the HR Group Manager. He/She will be responsible assisting in facilitating and coordinating all HR functions and activities for the Company, liaising with Divisional Heads & working alongside the respective Department and Sectional Management teams.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting respective Divisions with all Manpower and planning functions and activities.
- Assisting Divisions with staff management and appraisal processes
- Responding to all internal and external HR related queries from staff and departments
- Coordinating recruitment and related activities of the Division. Staff induction programs, ID and ASIC applications.
- Creating and updating all information and data of all personnel both manually and online filing
- Support the Hiring/Recruitment process by performing background checks, contacting applicant, arranging interviews and issuing employment contracts
- Perform orientations, onboarding and update records with new hires
- Assisting Operations Managers with business cases and justifications for new roles and positions
- Take the lead on staff entry and exit processes
- Provide management with staff turn-over rates to future resource and training plans
- Compile and verify fortnightly timesheets for operations staff.
Qualifications/Experiences
- Must have a Diploma or Degree in Human Resources or a business related field
- Have strong people skills and can deal with difficult people and or frustrated staff
- Be approachable and have the empathy to hear staff queries
- Have a sense of urgency in attending to all tasks with minimal turnaround times
- Can communicate effectively with all levels of people from all backgrounds
- Fluent in Tok Pisin
- Strong MS skills mainly in Excel
- Have 2-4 years in a similar role and with some aviation experience would be an advantage
