ICT MANAGER

The National Development Bank Limited (“NDB”) of Papua New Guinea invites applications for the vacant position of MANAGER INFORMATION COMMUNICATIONS AND TECHNOLOGY.

Reporting to the Head of Corporate Services, the ICT MANAGER is responsible for:

• providing strategic direction and technical guidance on all technology initiatives for NDB; and
• management of ICT operations and technologies including but not limited to voice/data communications, core banking, accounting and payroll systems, branch network, user applications, system redundancy and back-up, and business continuity.

Key Roles/Responsibilities

• leadership and vision, oversees planning and guides the development of information and operational technology, systems and services throughout NDB;
• providing relevant and timely guidance to the CEO and management team on the ICT environment, including, operations, technology, systems, human resources and risk mitigation;
• management daily ICT functionality to improve/maintain business productivity and reduce operational risks;
• developing, implementing and maintaining of a set of standard operating environments and procedures for data, hardware, software, networks, documentation, and project management methodology;
• preparing comprehensive plans for addressing short, medium and long-term information technology requirements for the business.

Qualifications/Skills/Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

• relevant bachelor’s degree or certification in ICT from a recognized institution;
• 10 years experience in a similar operational role within the financial services sector with practical knowledge of managing a diverse ICT function for 20 locations throughout PNG; and
• excellent people and communication skills.
