HR IMMIGRATION OFFICER

The Human Resource division seeks potential candidate for the position of Immigration Officer. This position is based in Port Moresby.

The incumbent will be responsible to ensures compliance with immigration laws and regulations. The duties include; checking travel documents, facilitating work permit & visas, and assisting with exiting and work permit cancellation procedures.

Key responsibilities:

• Reviewing and processing immigration applications, and other documents.
• Checking travel documents, visas, and other relevant papers to ensure compliance with immigration laws.
• Raising awareness of immigration laws and regulations among foreign residents to promote compliance.
• Maintaining records of immigration cases and managing compliance caseloads.
• Systematize Work Permit and Visa documents, ensuring proper order and accurate completion
• Support and Facilitate Visa processes for expatriate employees involved with training
• Maintain a work permit & visa registry, ensuring data is up to date
• Overseeing and facilitate work permit and visa renewals/ extensions prior to work permit expiry dates
• Facilitating work permit and visa lodgments to ICSA on a timely manner

Skills and Qualifications:

• A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as political science, public policy, international relations as, law, or social work is often required.
• English proficiency is an advantage
• Administration experience is essential
• Computer Literate
