Job Summary:
The Stanley Hotel & Suites is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organised Income Auditor to join our Finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for auditing, monitoring, and verifying all hotel revenue transactions to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established accounting standards and internal control procedures.
This role plays a critical part in safeguarding hotel revenue by ensuring all income streams are accurately recorded, reconciled, and reported in line with established policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Audit all daily revenue transactions from hotel outlets, ensuring accuracy between POS, PMS, and supporting documentation.
- Assist outlet cashiers with daily cashing-up processes and ensure proper balancing and reconciliation of each shift.
- Support general cashiers in reconciling cash collections and ensuring the safe handling and storage of all cash on hotel premises.
- Maintain accurate, complete, and timely financial and operational records in accordance with hotel policies and deadlines.
- Prepare and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly revenue audit reports, including variance analysis and exception reporting for management review.
- Ensure adherence to established accounting procedures, internal controls, and audit requirements.
- Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge and professional competence in revenue audit practices and hospitality finance systems.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry or fast-paced environment
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Strong understanding of revenue audit processes and internal controls
- High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and work extended hours when required (including weekends and public holidays)
