CreditBank PNG is recruiting a suitable candidate for the role of IT Admin Support Officer.


The IT Admin Support Officer will be responsible for providing administrative support to the IT department. The incumbent will ensure smooth day-to-day operations by managing documentation, procurement coordination, scheduling, and general administrative tasks that assist the IT team in delivering services efficiently. This role is based in Port Moresby.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Maintain and manage the diaries of the IT Leadership and schedule all meetings and appointments as required.
  • Monitor and highlight issues requiring the CTO’s immediate attention and assist in managing such matters in coordination with senior IT staff.
  • Organise travel, transportation, and accommodation arrangements for IT team members, including international and domestic travel.
  • Act as a liaison between IT and other departments for administrative matters.
  • Organise departmental events, workshops, and conferences as directed by the IT Leadership.
  • Organise monthly birthday celebrations, team bonding activities, and other initiatives to support a positive and inclusive team culture.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential documents with the highest level of discretion and professionalism.
  • Collate and submit Business Credit Card expenses for the CTO in line with company policies.
  • Prepare agendas and coordinate logistics for weekly IT Leadership meetings; take and distribute minutes.
  • Track and maintain daily records of IT staff movements, including onsite, remote work, travel, leave, and other absences, and escalate inconsistencies or concerns where required.
  • Assist with training logistics, including bookings, record-keeping, and internal communication of training schedules.
  • Support onboarding of new IT staff, including induction schedules and account provisioning requests; coordinate offboarding checklists and exit logistics for departing staff.
  • Assist in administrative follow-up with IT vendors or service providers for quotes, invoices, or contract renewals.
  • Maintain an organised filing system (digital and/or physical) for IT administrative documents, policies, meeting notes, and team records.
  • Draft internal communication or announcements on behalf of the CTO or IT Leadership.
  • Assist the IT Leadership in collecting or formatting monthly/quarterly updates for CEO and Board Reports.
  • Ensure administrative practices comply with corporate policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Other duties as directed by the CTO or by the IT Leadership Team.

Formal Qualifications

  • Diploma in Office Management, Business Administration
  • Valid PNG driver’s license (Class 1 or above)

Professional Experience

  • At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding and application of office and business management practices.
  • Good communicator (verbal and written).
  • Highly computer literate, including all Microsoft applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt, prioritise and achieve deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve goals and targets systematically and proactively.
  • At least 2 years’ Financial Services industry experience.
