CreditBank PNG is recruiting a suitable candidate for the role of IT Governance Analyst.

As the IT Governance Analyst, the successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting the development, implementation, and maintenance of IT governance frameworks and processes across the business. This role ensures that IT initiatives align with business objectives, comply with regulatory requirements, and effectively manage risks associated with IT operations. The IT Governance Analyst will also focus on audit response, IT process improvement, standardisation, reporting and compliance risk minimisation.

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Governance Framework Support
  • Assist in developing, implementing, and enhancing IT governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure alignment with organizational goals and industry standards.
  • Assist in developing, maintaining, and testing the Business/Service Continuity Program, including Disaster Recovery policies and procedures.
  • Audit and Compliance:
    • Conduct regular audits and assessments of IT systems, processes, and controls to evaluate compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
    • Follow-up on remediation actions of findings.
  1. Change Management Support
  • Support change management processes by reviewing change requests, assessing impacts, and ensuring changes are appropriately authorized, documented, and implemented.
  1. Risk Management
  • Assist in identifying, assessing, and prioritizing IT-related risks.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop risk mitigation strategies and action plans.
  1. Performance Monitoring
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to IT governance, compliance, and risk management.
  • Prepare reports and presentations on findings and recommendations for management review.
  • Manage vendor relationships and contracts.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance IT governance processes, controls, and frameworks.
    • Stay informed about emerging technologies, industry trends, and regulatory changes.
  1. Other Duties
  • Other duties as directed by the Senior Manager, IT Service Delivery.

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in IT governance, risk management, compliance, audit, or a related field. (Experience with audit methodologies and change management processes is desirable).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess risks, evaluate controls, and recommend improvements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
  • Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • Basic understanding of IT infrastructure, systems, and cybersecurity principles. Familiarity with regulatory requirements is a plus.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g. ITIL) are advantageous.
