Overview

We are seeking a skilled and proactive IT Officer to manage and maintain our organization's IT infrastructure. This role is critical to ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of our systems, networks, and servers. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for optimizing IT operations.

Key Responsibilities

Administer and maintain servers, networks, and system software (Windows, Linux, etc.)

Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability

Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls across platforms

Implement and maintain regular data backups and establish disaster recovery solutions.

Ensure system security through patch management, antivirus updates, and firewall configurations

Support hardware and software installations, upgrades, and configurations

Maintain documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides

Collaborate with IT team members and other departments to support business needs

Provide technical support and training to end-users

Evaluate and recommend new technologies to improve efficiency and security

Record and maintain IT assets (hardware, software licenses, peripherals).

Evaluate IT equipment (desktops, laptops, servers, etc.) and recommend necessary upgrades or replacements.

Coordinate with system developers (ERP, QUILS, QuickBooks) to address access issues, system downtime, and other user-related concerns.

Carry out regular branch inspections or remote evaluations to assess and maintain the integrity, security, and operational efficiency of IT infrastructure of branch offices.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

3+ years of experience in systems administration or similar role

Proficiency in Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)

Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) is a plus

Strong understanding of networking protocols, firewalls, and VPNs

Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills

Strong communication and documentation abilities

Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Server+, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator) preferred
