Job Summary:

Nextgen Technology Limited is seeking a highly skilled and proactive IT Support with a strong background in web development. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance, security, and functionality of the organization's websites and related web infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Website Maintenance and Development (Primary Focus)

• Maintenance & Updates: Perform regular updates (e.g., core, themes, plugins)for all supported Content Management Systems (CMS), particularly WordPress or similar platforms, to ensure security and stability.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to website functionality, broken links, performance, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Development & Implementation: Assist in the development, testing, and deployment of new website features, templates, and content sections based on organizational needs and design specifications.
• Backup & Recovery: Implement and manage regular website backup procedures and execute recovery plans when necessary.
• Security: Monitor website security, address vulnerabilities, and ensure compliance with best practices (e.g., SSL certificate management).
• Performance Optimization: Optimize website speed and performance (e.g.,image compression, caching) for a better user experience.
• Propagation: Troubleshoot DNS propagation and resolution issues.

2. Email Support and Administration

• End-User Support: Provide technical support for staff experiencing issues with their email accounts, clients, and mobile device setup.
• Account Management: Assist with the creation, modification, and deletion of user email accounts and distribution lists within the client’s domain.
• Security & Deliverability: Address issues related to email security, spam filtering, and message deliverability.

3.General IT Support

• Helpdesk: Serve as a point of contact for stakeholders on general IT issues (hardware, software, network connectivity) and track issues via a ticketing System.
• Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for web systems, DNS configurations, and email processes.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in web design and development.
• Strong proficiency in CMS like Wordpress, Drupal, Joomla, etc.
• Solid understanding of front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS3).
• Experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Familiarity with version control systems, preferably Git.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and take ownership of projects.
• Excellent time management skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
