IT SUPPORT

About the Role

We are seeking an highly organized and proactive IT Support to join our team. This position reports to the IT Manager and is responsible for general IT support in software and hardware operating systems, procedural documentation, providing training to end users in the use of systems and applications, testing and evaluating new technologies and troubleshooting and recommending corrective actions on IT operational issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, operating systems, and business applications.
  • Monitor and maintain IT systems, servers, networks, and communication infrastructure.
  • Provide first-line technical support to users and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Set up and manage user accounts, permissions, profiles, and password resets.
  • Support the deployment and implementation of new hardware, software, and IT projects.
  • Troubleshoot and repair IT equipment, replacing faulty components when required.
  • Maintain and support Cisco networking devices, WiFi infrastructure, and CCTV systems.
  • Provide user training and guidance on IT systems and applications.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, reports, and support records.
  • Ensure timely response and resolution of support requests within agreed service levels.
  • Assist in developing and implementing IT standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Test and evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements.
  • Provide emergency and after-hours IT support when required.
  • Maintain confidentiality of business information and data security standards.
  • Comply with all company HSSE, safety, security, and operational requirements.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve IT service delivery and operational efficiency.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 2 years of experience
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Client Operating Systems and Microsoft Windows Server Infrastructure.
  • Understanding of Active Directory Domain Services and user account management.
  • Knowledge of Cisco networking equipment, including routers and switches.
  • Experience with WiFi network installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with CCTV systems, handheld devices, and terminal/VMT management systems.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with users at all levels and provide technical training and support.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to company policies and procedures.
