POSITION VACANCY

CreditBank PNG seeks an experienced person to fill in the role of IT Systems Analyst.

As an IT System Analyst, you will be pivotal in deploying, supporting, and maintaining the Core Banking System application. This role is based in Port Moresby.

Primary Responsibilities

The incumbent is responsible for.

• Administer, deploy, support, and maintain the Core Banking system application to ensure CBS works effectively and efficiently to support banking operations.
• Tests and implement new patches or upgrades to the various systems to ensure compliance with specific business needs.
• Ensure the core banking system complies with all regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Review systems performance and conduct system tuning as appropriate to ensure system responses to users are acceptable.
• Analyze system logs, identify potential issues/problems with the CBS, and take corrective measures to address/resolve such issues/problems.
• Develop procedures to maintain security and protect the CBS from unauthorized use and user abuse.
• Follow-ups with core systems vendors to ensure issues logged are resolved within reasonable SLA timelines.
• Interpret business requirements correctly to systems vendors for delivery of correct solutions that meet the stated business requirements.
• Document the configuration of the CBS for easy support and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
• Provide prompt and effective technical support to bank end-users, troubleshooting and resolving issues related to the Core Banking System to minimize downtime.
• Conduct training sessions for staff on new features and functionalities of the core banking system.
• Provide training to other team members to ensure they are knowledgeable and capable of handling core banking system operations and troubleshooting.

Qualification and Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in IT (computer science, information technology or management information systems).
• Minimum of 2 years of general ICT Systems support experience in a banking environment.
• Minimum of 1 year in Core banking system support, Projects and User acceptance test.
• Strong knowledge of troubleshooting and fault rectifications in the systems.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
• Solid understanding of security best practices and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Experience managing Backup / Recovery processes and Systems / Business Continuity.
• Technical interaction with vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Demonstrable Leadership skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight periodic reporting deadlines.
