Steamships Trading Company is in search of highly skilled and results-oriented IT Technical Support Analyst to join our dynamic team. This role is critical to ensuring seamless IT operations by providing efficient and effective technical support to end users. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues, enabling to perform the role with minimal disruption and maximum productivity.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position based in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea. As an IT Technical Support Analyst, you will be responsible for delivering second-level technical support across the Steamships Group of Companies. Your primary focus will be on troubleshooting and resolving issues related to Windows-based applications and systems, ensuring that all IT-related concerns are addressed promptly and effectively. This role plays a vital part in maintaining operational efficiency and user satisfaction across the company.
Required Experience
- At least 3 years working experience as an IT Technical Support Technician.
- Working knowledge and experience of a range of diagnostic utilities and a general knowledge of technology and an ability to utilize technological devices effectively.
- Working knowledge and experience on basic computer hardware and software.
- Working knowledge and experience with desktop operating systems including windows 10 and windows 11.
- Working knowledge and experiences in Windows Server 2016, Windows Server 2019 & Windows 2022.
- Working Knowledge and experience in SQL, Active Directory, Group policy, Security, DNS, DHCP, FSRM, ADFS & Azure AD.
Qualifications and Key Competencies
- Bachelors Degree in IT/ or Computer Science.
- Ability to conduct research into a wide range of computing issues as required.
- Works with less supervision.
- Micorsoft products like Office 365, Windows OS, Group Policy.
- Micorsoft Certification (MCITP, MCSA).
- Effective problem solver.
- Team Player.
