We are a major construction company based in Lae, Morobe Province delivering major infrastructure and building projects across Papua New Guinea. Our Crossroad Hotel Division is looking for a highly organized and proactive Head Chef to join the team and take on this challenge to next level in the hospitality industry.

What You'll Do

As part of Crossroads Hotel team, the successful incumbent for this role will:

• Manage a full facility hotel restaurant operation and support crew
• Prepare Western/Asian menus for a mixed clientele of local and overseas guests.
• Menu preparation, stock purchasing and control, arranging function and banquet food/beverages
• Ensure strictness in food hygiene requirements and restaurant presentation is of international standards
• Checking deliveries, supervise stocktaking, kitchen stores and all kitchen work areas
• Review planned menus
• Report all incidents, issues or shortfalls to Executive Chef

What We're Looking For

• Have a Diploma or Degree in Tourism and Hospitality management
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Head Chef or similar role
• Exceptional Customer Service skills and experience, preferably in similar industry

• Should have excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Should have superior organisational, presentation and time management skills
• Team management skills
• Excellent leadership Skills
