K92 Mining Limited are the owners the high-grade Kainantu Gold Mine in Eastern Highlands Province. Since commencing operations in 2016, we have delivered consistent production growth. More importantly, we have contributed significantly to the economy of Papua New Guinea, more than 90% of our employees and contractors are from PNG and our local education and skills development initiatives which include scholarships, traineeships and adult literacy programs continue to bring significant benefit the communities in which we operate.

We are now transforming the operation with a new 1.2 mtpa process plant as well as extensive construction and expansion across site that will see us triple the output from our mine by 2027. About the role

This position reports to the Senior Geologist and will assist with geological functions within the mine technical services team.

Key Accountabilities

Key accountabilities of this position include.

• Assist, and conduct when required, data capture and mapping fully and correctly in a timely manner.
• Inspect and report mine activities, heading status, and geological issues each shift.
• Track daily production and materials movement fully and accurately in a timely manner.
• Collect, compile, and disseminate complete and accurate drill information.
• Maintain safe work standards and practices in accordance with government and company policy.

About You

To be considered for this role, it is essential that you have

• Tertiary degree in a geological discipline.
• Two years relevant industry experience.
• Experience with practical sampling.
• Willing and able to live and function in a remote and foreign community with limited facilities.
• Good written and verbal communication at all levels in the organisation.
• Experience with mining software (Surpac, Deswik, Excel).
