Summary

Prep food and cook simple dishes under supervision. Keep the kitchen clean and safe.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prep veg/meat, basic sauces; set and restock stations.
  • Cook simple items as directed; keep the pass stocked.
  • Wash dishes (machine & hand); clean benches, equipment, floors; remove waste.
  • Label/date; follow FIFO; help with deliveries and put-away.
  • Assist stock counts and end-of-shift close down.

Job Requirements

  • PNG citizen; 1–2 years kitchen experience preferred.
  • Basic knife skills; follows recipes and hygiene rules.
  • Fit to lift up to 20kg; reliable and on time.

Others

  • Hours & breaks per PNG law
  • Food safety: temperature logs, cleaning rosters, PPE/uniform.
  • Reports to: Second Chef / Head Chef.
