Layer Production Supervisor - Farm Based

Zenag Chicken has pioneered the poultry industry in Papua New Guinea for over 75 years. We provide employment to over a thousand employees, with our Head Office based in Lae and our farm a few hours’ drive out of the city, along the Bulolo District.

Due to expansion, we are hiring a Layer Production Supervisor - Farm Based.

The successful candidate will work in our Commercial Layers Farm, reporting to the Commercial Layers Manager. Responsibilities include managing and oversee workforce, shed management, animal health and flock performance, whistle ensuring to best practices and procedural adherence.

Duties and Responsibilities includes

• Supervising daily layer production activities and workforce allocation.
• Monitoring bird health, welfare, and flock performance
• Ensuring effective shed management and adherence to operational procedures.
• Ensuring feed, water, lighting, and ventilation programs are implemented correctly.
• Provide guidance and training to team members on best practices.
• Supervise staff attendance, rostering, and performance
• Providing support to the Commercial Layers team to complete any activity and tasks.
• Adhering and following all company policies and SOP

Requirements:

• Must have at least 2 years in supervisory role and working experience in Agriculture or Poultry industries.
• Must have a degree in Agriculture or related fields.
• Must have strong leadership skills
• Must have excellent communication skills and teamwork ability.
