Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Learning and Development Manager to lead our training and development initiatives. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader with a passion for cultivating talent and driving performance excellence. This role will involve designing and implementing training programs that enhance employee skills, align with organizational goals, and support career development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Training Program Development: Design, develop, and deliver comprehensive training programs and workshops tailored to various departments and levels within the hotel.
  • Needs Assessment: Conduct regular assessments to identify training needs, skill gaps, and opportunities for improvement. Collaborate with department heads to align training programs with business objectives.
  • Onboarding and Orientation: Oversee the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition and thorough introduction to company culture, policies, and procedures.
  • Performance Management: Develop and implement performance management and coaching strategies to enhance employee performance and career growth.
  • Leadership Development: Create and deliver leadership development programs aimed at preparing high-potential employees for advanced roles within the organization.
  • Evaluation and Feedback: Measure the effectiveness of training programs through evaluations, feedback, and performance metrics. Adjust programs as needed to ensure maximum impact.
  • Compliance and Best Practices: Ensure all training initiatives comply with industry regulations and standards. Stay updated on best practices and emerging trends in learning and development.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business Management, Education or related field preferred.
  • Accreditation from a recognized institution or Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years work experience in learning and development, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Experience in designing and implementing training programs, ideally in the hospitality industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to assess training needs and align programs with business strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to create a positive and collaborative work environment.
