CPL Group is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Legal Assistant (Casual) to join our team on a short-term basis. This role is a great opportunity for a recent law graduate or final-year law student, especially those with an interest in Trademarks and Intellectual Property (TM/IP).

You will support the Corporate and Marketing teams in preparing and managing TM/IP filings and documents, ensuring timely submissions and compliance with legal requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare, draft, and submit trademark and IP applications.
• Conduct preliminary legal research on trademark availability and classifications.
• Manage legal records and filing systems.
• Liaise with internal departments and external agencies (e.g., IPA).
• Ensure documentation accuracy and support legal administrative tasks.

The ideal candidate for this role should possess the following qualifications and attributes:

• Recent law graduate or final-year law student (LTI program preferred).
• Coursework in Trademarks and/or Intellectual Property is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• No legal practice license required – suitable for paralegal-level candidates.
