CreditBank PNG is recruiting for 2x suitable candidate for the role of Lending Officer for Port Moresby Branch & Lae Branch.

The Lending Officers will be responsible for facilitating lending for the Small Loan Guarantee Program (SLGP) for Credit Corporation clients by assessing credit worthiness and processing relevant paperwork in an efficient and timely manner. This role is based in Port Moresby & Lae.

Primary Responsibilities

• Drive and monitor sales under the SLGP.
• Prepare and compile finance applications for the SLGP
• Perform quality checks on SLGP loan applications that are ready for approval stage and settlement
• Maintain relevant customer information around the facility information covering loan pricing, maturity profile, financial information and facility performance on a quarterly basis for reporting purposes.
• Work closely with Enterprise Risk Management and Credit Risk Departments providing relevant and timely information on the SLGP portfolio as required.
• Timely completion of annual reviews for customer files where required.
• Manage collaterals including related valuations and insurance.
• Oversee claims to IFC under SLGP and update relevant database on these claims in alignment with Asset Management Unit.
• Maintain relations with relevant stakeholders.

Key requirements

• Working knowledge on financial analysis, loan analysis, underwriting.
• 2+ years or more experience in a financial institution or 2+ years’ experience in credit/loan assessment or loans officer role.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) / interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft applications, database, accounting software.

Formal Qualifications

Mandatory:

Diploma in Finance, Accounting or a business-related field (desired)
