Licensed Electrician or Trade Electrician- Farm Based.

Zenag Chicken has pioneered the poultry industry in Papua New Guinea for over 75 years. We provide employment to over a thousand employees, with our Head Office based in Lae and our farm a few hours’ drive out of the city, along the Bulolo Highway.

Due to expansion, we are hiring a Licensed Electrician or Trade Electrician- Farm Based.

The successful candidate will be capable to lead an allocated team to ensure the execution of functional activities and initiative. This includes overseeing and active participation in continuous maintenance and new projects.

Duties and Responsibilities include:

• Responsible for unscheduled and preventative maintenance.
• Conducting inspections of electrical utilities across the farm on a scheduled basis.
• Proposing best practices and systems improvement.
• Planning the execution of new projects.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
• Conducting the safety checks and inspections on electrical utilities.
• Attending to breakdowns.
• Supervising and leading allocated team.
• Training and guiding Trade Assistants.

Requirements:

• Must be a Qualified Licenced Electrician (PNG Power License) or Tradesman (NATTB Certified).
• Must have 2+ years working experience in a similar role.
• Be knowledgeable in domestic and industrial installation.
• Hands on experience on building control panels and distribution boards.
• Have the ability to interpret single line diagrams, schematic drawings and construction blueprints.
• Strong troubleshooting ability.
• Can work with little supervision.
• Flexible with working time including night shift.
• Have excellent communication, people management skills and leadership qualities.
• Must be physically fit to perform maintenance duties.
