LIGHT VEHICLE MECHANIC

Location: Lae, Morobe Province

NKW Group is seeking qualified and experienced Light Vehicle Mechanics to join our team based in Lae. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, servicing, diagnosis, and repair of company light vehicles to ensure safe and reliable fleet operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine servicing and preventive maintenance of light vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
• Carry out engine, transmission, brake, steering, and suspension repairs.
• Complete vehicle inspections and maintain service records.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with company safety standards.
• Report vehicle defects and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain workshop tools and equipment in good condition.

Requirements

• Trade qualification in Automotive Mechanical Technology or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years' experience as a Light Vehicle Mechanic.
• Sound knowledge of vehicle diagnostics and repair procedures.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid PNG Driver's Licence.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working in mining, construction, or fleet environments will be an advantage.
