Tabubil Engineering Limited is a major contractor to Ok Tedi Mining Ltd in Western Province of Papua New Guinea. The company now has an immediate vacancy for a suitably qualified person for:

LINEHAUL TRUCK DRIVER / OPERATOR

We are seeking experienced Linehaul & Truck Operators to support mine site and remote logistics operations in Western Province. This role operates under strict mine site safety, health, and operational standards and is suited to disciplined drivers with strong safety performance records.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate heavy vehicles for long-distance linehaul transport between ports, depots, mine sites, and remote locations
• Safely load, secure, and transport general cargo, fuel, equipment, and mine-related freight
• Conduct daily pre-start inspections, roadworthiness checks, and basic maintenance
• Operate vehicles safely on mountain roads, unsealed roads, and remote routes
• Comply with PNG road laws, site safety rules, fatigue management, and company policies
• Accurately complete logbooks, delivery dockets, and incident reports
• Report hazards, near-misses, breakdowns, or delays immediately

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid PNG Heavy Vehicle Driver’s Licence Class 3, & 4.
• Demonstrated experience in linehaul, mining, or remote-area driving
• Strong understanding of road safety, fatigue management, and defensive driving
• Medically fit for long-distance and remote operations
• Ability to work shift rosters, including nights, weekends, and public holidays
• Ability to follow safety instructions and work in isolated locations
• Experience driving HOWO prime movers, side tippers, flatbeds, or multi‑trailer combinations
• Experience operating in mining, construction, or oil & gas environments
• Familiarity with remote PNG routes and highland terrain
• Dangerous Goods (DG) certification
• Basic mechanical and breakdown‑response knowledge
