Maintenance Planner

Function:

Under established policies and procedures, this position is responsible to schedule and plan for all daily/weekly corrective, predictive and preventive mechanical, instrument and electrical maintenance work for the refinery.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Screen incoming work requests, identification of scope and analysis of required level of planning

  2. Estimates required hours on work order tasks, total work order duration, and skills required performing the task.

  3. Scope full extent of maintenance work required needed to conduct the repair/preventive/predictive/design-out activities on the plant and equipment with relevant resources

  4. Plans jobs with appropriate level of detail for the given work order.

  6. Determine, arrange and procures equipment, specialized tools, spare parts, consumables required to perform the job.

  7. Work Planning and Work Order creation/assigning of fully planned Corrective, Preventive and Predictive Maintenance and Inspections for all equipment in the plant

  8. Identify specific safety hazards that will be encountered in the performance of the proposed work and develop safety procedures for the job plan.

  9. Produce printed work orders, schedules and plans for daily and weekly periods
  10. Develop and write work procedures for the work orders

  11. Work order status reporting to leads and supervisors

  12. Review and maintain Accurate Work order technical data and history in CMMS/EAM

  13. Month-end Maintenance KPI reporting

  14. Managing Maintenance Backlog to minimal accepted amount of work

  15. Close monitoring of customer work requests and providing feedback on scheduled works by and schedule break-ins by execution team

  16. Participates in outage planning activities such as scope identification and control, scheduling, coordination, risk assessment, execution and continuous improvement.

Experience:

  • Technical College diploma or University Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Instrumentation
  • 3-5 years’ experience as maintenance planner or Project Experience in multi-discipline working environment
  • Strong mechanical or electrical aptitude

Competencies:

  • Understanding of key processes that support maintenance execution including planning and scheduling
  • Able to efficiently perform internet searches and researches
  • Able to read and interpret vendor manuals and all engineering drawings
  • Highly motivated
  • Safety Conscious and team player
  • Computer proficient with Spreadsheet, Word Processing and emails.
  • Working knowledge of CMMS/EAM and Project Management applications
