Maintenance Planner

HBS PNG LIMITED currently operates in numerous mine sites across PNG, both on the mainland and remote island locations. We own and operate one of the largest and best maintained mining fleets in PNG, offering the mining sector a variety of services including road construction, maintenance, haulage, lighting, crushing services and plant equipment hire.

We are taking expressions of interest for highly and suitably qualified individuals for the position of Maintenance Planner to be based in Lae, Morobe Province. Applicants must have experience within the mining and construction fields.

As a Maintenance Planner, you will work closely with maintenance, operations, and Fleet teams to drive proactive maintenance strategies, reduce downtime, and improve overall equipment performance.

This role will involve:

• Working with operations and workshop teams and ensure parts, tools, and resources are ready before jobs start.
• Produce maintenance reports and track downtime trends, while identifying and requisitioning required materials for corrective maintenance of plant and heavy equipment.
• Managing work orders and preventative maintenance plans using D365 Asset Management.
• Conduct equipment condition reviews, verifying availability of parts, critical components, and prepare plan maintenance schedules.
• Forecast spare part usage and maintain stock levels with the warehouse including master equipment files and job plans in D365.
• Work with Senior Maintenance Planner in estimating work order costs (labor, materials, total).
• Liaising with operations and stakeholders for scheduled maintenance.

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Minimum of at least 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Strong background in planning for mobile fleet operations.
• Willingness to travel and work on-site as required.
• Mining industry experience with CMMS systems (SAP, PRONTO, D365, Fleetmate) highly regarded.
