About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Maintenance Planner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and support safe and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain preventive and corrective maintenance schedules.
- Plan labour, materials, tools, and equipment required for maintenance work.
- Prepare detailed work packs and job plans for maintenance activities.
- Coordinate maintenance shutdowns and equipment inspections.
- Monitor work order progress and ensure timely completion.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records within the CMMS.
- Liaise with operations, procurement, and maintenance teams to ensure resource availability.
- Analyze equipment history and recommend reliability improvements.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company safety standards and procedures.
Qualifications & Experience
- Trade qualification, Diploma, or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline.
- Minimum 3–5 years' experience in a maintenance planning role within mining, manufacturing, industrial, or heavy equipment environments.
- Experience using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), such as SAP, Pronto, or similar.
- Strong planning, scheduling, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
