Credit Corporation Properties Limited seeks an experienced person to fill the position of Maintenance Supervisor.
The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring that all systems and equipment are in excellent operating conditions and are available to/for residents and tenants of Era Dorina and Era Matana Estates. The Maintenance Supervisor is primarily responsible for ensuring that all maintenance requirements for units, tenanted or not, are attended to in a timely and efficient manner. This role is based in Port Moresby.
Prime Responsibilities:
- Provide support services to meet varying expectations for Era Dorina and Era Matana Estate tenants.
- Ensure staff under your control are always in the correct uniform as per brand standards.
- Ensure all public areas of EDL & EML are maintained to brand standards for all stakeholders’ satisfaction.
- Proactively monitor maintenance expenses with a view to reducing cost increases.
- Actively lead in Daily Toolboxes and promote new cost-saving ideas for each week.
- Promote HSSE principles in daily toolboxes that encourage safe workplace practices to minimize any LTI as much as possible.
- Present Safety presentations to CC Properties Team Leaders as required.
- Manage preventative maintenance for EDL/EML, ensuring they remain current and that services are performed to standard and to agreed frequencies.
- Identify and train from within your Team a suitable Supervisor/OIC for the Maintenance Supervisor for the Maintenance Department.
- Organize and plan regular maintenance work on all equipment and systems.
- Responsible for the coordination of all maintenance staff who are on call.
- To ensure the availability of staff and to communicate the roster to all respective stakeholders, and to update changes in a timely manner.
- Reviewing Maintenance procedures for preventative measures, in consultation with FM and other support staff
- Respond to emergencies as and when required.
- Be available for after-hours on-call duties on the estate.
- Participate in all aspects of training and development as directed and use learning opportunities to develop skills necessary to improve effectiveness, efficiency, and service delivery.
- Ensure training requirements for your staff are correctly identified in a timely manner and discussed with management.
- Conduct regular 1-on-1 meetings with staff under your control, ensuring they are clear on work expectations, their roles and responsibilities, and their worth in the company.
- Assist the Facilities Manager to ensure staff KRAs and KPI’s/performance/appraisals for the team are conducted annually in consultation with Human Resources.
- Assist new team members /recruits joining the Facilities division for a smooth onboarding experience with regular follow-ups.
- Participate in the company safety program and the company project team.
- Ensuring employees are utilizing the necessary resources to complete the applicable tasks with the mindset to utilize parts, tools, and resources that are needed.
- Responsible for motivating maintenance personnel to accomplish company objectives.
- Responsible for periodically (biannually) auditing maintenance processes to ensure compliance with SSOPs and ensure the effectiveness of current established practices.
- Responsible for ensuring that employee performance reviews are conducted based on their specific job description to determine the competency, knowledge, and contributions of each maintenance technician.
Other Duties:
- Other duties as directed by the Facilities Manager.
Requirements for the role:
- Trade background is highly desirable.
- Minimum 5 years in Maintenance or a related supervisor role.
- Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety Environment in the workplace.
- Ability to troubleshoot, possess excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Good time management (ability to prioritize and meet deadlines)
- Strong people skills

- Team player
