We’re growing — Our finance team is growing with us. And we have a Management Accountant role that puts you at the heart of how this business performs.

The Role

Working closely with the Financial Controller, you will own a meaningful piece of the numbers from day one. You will carry direct responsibility for management accounts, inventory costing, fixed assets and compliance in a business with real commercial complexity.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts — P&L, balance sheet and variance analysis.
• Own inventory costing and margin reporting across equipment categories (generators, forklifts, construction machinery and hire fleet).
• Maintain and reconcile inventory records against the general ledger, coordinate and report on periodic stock takes.
• Manage the fixed asset register — additions, disposals, depreciation schedules and physical asset verification.
• Drive month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Handle GST reconciliations and ensure compliance with statutory tax obligations.
• Liaise with Sales, Operations and Procurement to support financial reporting and resolve queries.
• Contribute to audit preparation and internal control improvements.
• Deliver ad hoc financial analysis and reports to senior management.

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 1-3 years’ experience in an accounting role, or a strong recent graduate ready to step up.
• Working towards CPA or an equivalent professional qualification (encouraged, not mandatory).
• Solid Excel skills, experience with Odoo is a genuine advantage.
• Sharp attention to detail and a personal commitment to accuracy.
• Clear communicator — comfortable working with non-finance teams in Sales and Operations.
• Self‑driven and commercially curious; focused on understanding the business rather than merely reconciling it.
