We are partnering with a leading national airline in Papua New Guinea provides domestic and international passenger and cargo services across the region. It plays a critical role in connecting major cities and remote communities, as well as linking the country to key international destinations in Asia, Australia, and the Pacific.


The Role

Join the team in Port Moresby as the Manager – Engineering Finance and take ownership of financial oversight across the Engineering function, ensuring accurate control and reporting of aircraft assets, inventory, maintenance activities, and related engineering costs in line with IFRS standards.

Working closely with Engineering leadership and Finance stakeholders, the role provides financial business partnering support, strengthens cost visibility and governance, and ensures strong control over complex areas such as aircraft components, heavy maintenance, and inventory management. It also plays a key role in improving data integrity, system alignment, and reporting efficiency within Oracle Fusion and related engineering systems.


Key Responsibilities

• Partner with Engineering leadership to drive budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and financial performance.
• Ensure IFRS-compliant accounting for aircraft assets, inventory, components, and maintenance activities.
• Lead engineering financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and alignment with Oracle Fusion ERP.
• Oversee inventory governance, asset accounting, and reconciliation between Engineering systems and Oracle Fusion.
• Strengthen financial controls, audit compliance, process automation, and decision-support reporting across Engineering Finance.

Key Criteria

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline.
• CPA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
• 8–10 years' finance experience, including Engineering Finance within a commercial airline or aviation environment.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, aircraft component accounting, maintenance reserves, and aviation financial reporting.
• Experience with Oracle Fusion ERP and aviation MRO or engineering systems highly desirable.
• Expertise in inventory accounting, aircraft asset valuation, and financial controls within complex operations.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to partner effectively across Engineering, Maintenance, and operational teams.
