The Baptist Union of Papua New Guinea (BUPNG) has immediate vacancies for the following positions. These are full time positions based in Telefomin Rural Hospital, Sandaun Province.
Manager - Finance & Admin (CHSSANO 14)
Purpose of the role
The role reports to the Hospital Administrator – who presents financial management and the administrative services to Chrisitan Health Services with the focus to support NDoH compliance with the Government financial management legislation and its directives. Responsible for overseeing the financial health and administrative operations of the hospital.
Outline of duties:
- Financial Analysis: Analysing financial data, creating reports, and providing insights to support decision-making. This includes assessing the financial health of the organization, identifying trends, and making recommendations for improvements.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Developing and managing budgets, as well as creating financial forecasts for future periods. Monitoring actual financial performance against budgeted figures and identifying any variances.
- Cost Management: Identifying cost-saving opportunities, optimizing resource allocation, and implementing strategies to control expenses while maintaining quality patient care.
- Revenue Cycle Management: Overseeing revenue generation, billing processes, and collections to ensure timely and accurate reimbursement from payers and patients.
- Financial Compliance: Ensuring compliance with relevant healthcare regulations and financial standards and to maintain the integrity of financial reporting.
- Strategic Planning: Collaborating with senior management to develop financial strategies that align with the organization’s overall goals and objectives.
- Financial Reporting: Preparing financial statements, performance reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders, including executive leadership and regulatory agencies.
- Team Leadership: Managing and leading a team of financial professionals, providing guidance, training, and supervision as needed.
Requirements for the role:
- Must have a Bachelor in Accounting, Public Finance from recognized tertiary institution
- Must be a Certified Professional Accountant (CPA) and affiliated under the PNG institute of Accountants.
- Must have 4-5 work experience in Finance Management/Administration and Budget Panning/Analysis either in the private or public sector
- Good communications skills and inter personal skills
- Must be a team player, self – motivated, and result orientated person.
- Must have a Valid NID Card or Birth Certificate
