MANAGER – LICENSING & INCUBATION UNIT, FINANCIAL SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT & INNOVATION POLICY DEPARTMENT
Reports To: Manager – FSDIPD
The primary role of the Manager, Licensing and Incubation Unit is to lead and manage the unit's licensing and incubation activities, ensuring a streamlined and efficient process for innovative financial service providers to enter the market. The role includes developing and managing tailored licensing frameworks, providing incubation support to promising start-ups, and fostering collaboration with stakeholders. The Unit Manager is accountable to the Department Manager, FSDIPD.
Education/Qualification/Experience/Skills/Competencies
- Master’s Degree or Degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or related fields with a strong focus on financial sector development and innovation.
- Seven plus years’ experience in the financial services industry, including experience in licensing, business incubation, FinTech, or related areas.
- Deep understanding of financial sector development challenges and opportunities in developing countries.
- Working knowledge of FinTech, digital financial services, and innovative financial products and services.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and managing licensing frameworks.
- Familiarity with business incubation and acceleration programs.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong project management skills.
