MANAGER SALES

The primary purpose of a Sales Manager is to generate and increase airline ticket sales through various distribution channels, manage sales teams, implement marketing initiatives, and foster relationships with key stakeholders. They ensure that the airline meets its revenue targets while expanding its market share.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Sales Strategy & Planning:

    • Develop and implement sales strategies to meet revenue targets.
    • Conduct market analysis to identify sales opportunities and trends.
    • Create detailed sales plans to penetrate new markets or increase share in existing ones.
    • Set goals for regional and local sales teams.

    Client Relationship Management:

    • Build and maintain relationships with corporate clients, travel agencies, tour operators, and other sales partners.
    • Manage key accounts and provide personalized services to retain clients.
    • Negotiate sales agreements and partnerships to maximize ticket sales and revenue.

    Team Leadership & Management:

    • Lead and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and team targets.
    • Train and develop sales personnel, providing regular feedback and coaching.
    • Assign tasks, manage performance, and ensure sales teams follow established strategies and guidelines.

    Revenue Management & Reporting:

    • Monitor sales performance and revenue generation.
    • Analyze sales data, customer insights, and market performance to recommend corrective actions.
    • Prepare and present regular sales reports to senior management, highlighting progress and areas of improvement.

    Pricing & Revenue Optimization:

    • Collaborate with the revenue management team to develop competitive pricing strategies.
    • Ensure pricing aligns with the airlines overall revenue goals and market conditions.

    Promotions & Marketing Coordination:

    • Work closely with marketing teams to promote special offers, routes, and loyalty programs.
    • Assist in the planning and execution of advertising and promotional campaigns to increase visibility and sales.
    • Engage in public relations activities to boost the airline's reputation in the marketplace.

    Contract & Agreement Management:

    • Oversee the negotiation and administration of contracts with key stakeholders such as corporate clients, travel agents, and distributors.
    • Ensure contracts align with the airline’s revenue and legal standards.

    Sales Channels Optimization:

    • Manage and optimize various sales channels including online, travel agents, corporate sales, and direct sales.
    • Implement strategies to increase efficiency and productivity across sales channels.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCES

  • Preferably 10 Years minimum experience sales and marketing field including 5 years in a management role(s) or Equivalent.
  • Sales, Tourism & Marketing Experience
  • Tertiary qualifications in related discipline(s) desirable but not essential
