PNG Motors supports Suzuki Marine and associated marine brands across Papua New Guinea, supplying and servicing outboard engines and marine equipment that operate in some of the toughest conditions in the country. Saltwater, heat, humidity, vibration, and long hours aren’t’ exceptions here — they’re the norm.

We’re looking for experienced Marine Technicians to support our growing marine operations across multiple locations.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be working on marine outboard engines and marine electrical systems, diagnosing faults, carrying out servicing and repairs, and ensuring equipment is operating safely and reliably. Work will be split between workshop and field, including travel to vessels and remote locations when required.

You’ll follow manufacturer standards, complete job documentation accurately, and maintain strong safety discipline at all times. When equipment fails on the water, it needs to be fixed properly — not creatively explained.

This role demands practical skill, problem-solving ability, and comfort working in environments where conditions aren’t always controlled or comfortable.

Who This Suits

This role suits someone with genuine marine experience — not automotive experience with an interest in boats, but real hands-on work with outboards, marine engines, and marine electrical systems.

You’re technically capable, methodical, and comfortable working independently. You take pride in doing the job right the first time and understand that reliability matters more than speed when people are relying on their equipment offshore.

If your experience starts and ends with standing near a boat, this won’t be the right role.
