POSITION VACANCY

CreditBank PNG Limited is currently recruiting for the role of Market Risk Specialist.

This role reports to the Head of Enterprise Risk Management, operating as a business partner for the treasury function the incumbent will play a crucial role in identifying and managing risks associated with financial markets. You will be responsible for monitoring market conditions, evaluating potential risks and developing strategies to mitigate these risks.

Key responsibilities:

• Conduct risk assessments on various financial products and portfolios.
• Monitor market trends and developments to identify potential risks.
• Developing risk management strategies and policies in consultation with the Head of Treasury/ Treasury team.
• In consultation with the Head of Enterprise Management, collaborate with other departments to implement risk mitigation strategies through training and awareness programs.
• Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on market risk exposure.

Key requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in banking & finance, economics, accounting, or related discipline.
• Experience in market risk monitoring and reporting.
• Familiarity with foreign exchange and balance sheet management.
• Must be detail oriented to ensure accuracy and quality of work output.
• Experience in working with finance models for reporting purposes.
• Advanced computer skills required for Windows Office programs, especially MS Excel and PowerPoint.
