The Opportunity:

PNGX Group operates the national stock exchange of Papua New Guinea. It stands as the leading securities exchange in PNG, committed to offering a secure and transparent trading platform for various financial instruments.

PNGX is currently seeking an enthusiastic individual with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with a talent for content creation to join the team as a Marketing & Investor Relations Officer.

As an essential member of the team, the Marketing and Investor Relations Officer will oversee both walk-in and online investor inquiries, assist in investor education programs, and oversee the management of PNGX's social media presence. Crafting compelling content across various digital and print platforms will be a key responsibility, aimed at promoting PNGX's offerings to retail and institutional investors, as well as to current and prospective stockbrokers and listed companies.

The ideal candidate will possess a thorough comprehension of Papua New Guinea's financial services sector.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Investor Relations:
a) Address walk-in, online, and other investor inquiries promptly, accurately, and empathetically.
b) Collect and analyse relevant metrics for reporting purposes.

2. Content Creation:
a) Develop a comprehensive style guide.
b) Produce top-tier content for various digital platforms (website, social media, email campaigns) and printed materials (weekly newspaper columns, brochures, newsletters, flyers), focusing on PNGX and associated financial services.

3. Financial Education:
a) Organise events, conferences, and workshops facilitated by PNGX, handling logistics and material preparation.
b) Co-create educational content with the team, simplifying intricate financial concepts and market trends to enhance investor and public financial literacy.

4. Visual Design:
a) Create visually captivating graphics and illustrations to enhance content and maintain brand consistency.
b) Edit and enhance multimedia elements, such as images and videos, for maximum impact.

5. SEO and Analytics:
a) Optimise content for search engines to boost visibility and organic reach.
b) Utilise analytics tools to monitor content performance and user engagement, implementing data-driven adjustments as necessary.

6. Compliance and Accuracy:
a) Ensure all content adheres to regulatory guidelines and accurately reflects financial market information.
b) Uphold legal and industry standards across all content.

7. Market Research:
a) Stay abreast of industry trends, financial market developments, and competitor content strategies.
b) Conduct thorough market research to identify opportunities for content improvement and innovation.

Key Requirements:
  • Proven experience in marketing and investor relations related roles, with a track record of success in driving business results.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Must have a current police clearance
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and communication abilities
  • Demonstrated expertise in content creation, copywriting, or a related field, specifically within the realm of financial services.
  • Proficient in utilising graphic design software and platforms like Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Familiar with content management systems (CMS) and foundational knowledge of search engine optimisation (SEO) principles.
  • In-depth understanding of financial services, investment products, and the Papua New Guinea financial landscape.
  • Capacity to work autonomously and efficiently, managing tasks with agility and precision.
  • A comprehensive portfolio highlighting past work, showcasing prowess in financial content creation and design.
  • Strong attention to detail and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Qualification in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Strong analytical skills and a data-driven approach to decision-making.
