The Baptist Union of Papua New Guinea (BUPNG) has immediate vacancies for the following positions. These are full time positions based in Kompiam District Rural Hospital, Kompiam Enga Province.

Medical Officer – Obstetrics & Gynaecology (Secondment to General Practise)(8CHSENG046) MOC2

Purpose of the role

Responsible for effective and efficient planning, consultations and coordination of General Practitioner Services provided by the hospital within the Inpatient Wards, Outpatients Department, Consultation Clinic, and Maternal Child Health Clinics and through the outreach clinics.

Outline of duties:

• Coordinate the implementation of the medical services in accordance with hospital policy and strategy priorities
• Provide advice to the executive management on matters in relation to general medical practices
• Prepare medical reports on timely basis as and when required by the management
• Assess and prioritize in order of importance health services accordingly
• Supervise and train junior staff and students

Requirements for the role:

• Must have Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)
• Minimum of 1-3 years of work experience as a GP
• Must be registered with PNG Medical Board
• Good clinical skills in Medicine, Surgery, Paediatrics and Obstetrics & Gynaecology
• Good Public Relation and Communication skills
• Must have a valid NID Card or Birth Certificate and good work ethics
