A leading financial services organisation in the Pacific region is seeking an experienced Microsoft 365 Administrator to join their growing IT team in Port Moresby. The company is well regraded across PNG and the Pacific Islands for its expertise in financial services and investments and takes pride in driving digital transformation and delivering excellence in customer service.
About the Role
Reporting to the Senior Manager – IT Infrastructure, you’ll be responsible for managing and supporting the full suite of Microsoft 365 services. The Microsoft 365 (M365) Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day administration, support, and maintenance of the Microsoft 365 suite of services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, and Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD). This role ensures the secure, efficient, and effective use of Microsoft cloud technologies, playing a key role in managing the M365 lifecycle, promoting user adoption, and providing support.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage Microsoft 365 services: Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Microsoft Entra ID.
- Monitor performance and ensure secure, uninterrupted access for users.
- Handle user accounts, licensing, roles, and group policies.
- Implement and support MFA, Conditional Access, and compliance controls.
- Provide Level 2/3 support and resolve technical escalations.
- Liaise with Microsoft and external vendors when needed.
- Support onboarding/offboarding and manage account provisioning.
- Lead rollouts of new features and support change initiatives.
- Deliver user training and develop helpful guides.
- Conduct audits to ensure data protection and security compliance.
- Keep clear internal documentation of configurations and processes.
- Be available for after-hours support during deployments or urgent issues
- 3+ years' experience in Microsoft 365 administration.
- Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, IT or similar.
- Strong skills in Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Entra ID.
- Solid grasp of M365 security and compliance tools.
- PowerShell scripting experience for automation and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with Intune and device compliance.
- Experience with CoreView (or similar tools) is a bonus.
- Microsoft certifications (MS-102, SC-300) are highly regarded.
- ITIL Foundation certification or similar experience.
- Great communication skills and a detail-oriented, can-do attitude.
