- Assist in implementing and maintaining mining applications.
- Configure and customize applications to meet business needs.
- Conduct testing and quality assurance to ensure functionality, security, and reliability of mining applications.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for users.
- Collect user feedback to enhance application performance.
- Execute system testing and validation for accuracy and reliability.
- Prepare and maintain documentation for mining applications.
- Collaborate with IT, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and operations teams for seamless integration.
- Communicate with mining teams, operations, and third-party vendors to support applications.
- Assist in project management tasks, including budget reporting and forecasting.
- Understand the team's purpose and contribute ideas for improvement.
- Ensure all work is conducted safely.
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience in maintaining and supporting mining applications.
- Understanding of project management principles, including budget reporting, control, and forecasting.
- Familiarity with contracting, negotiating, and change management.
- Awareness of technology trends and strategic planning in the mining industry.
- Advanced troubleshooting techniques.
- 5+ years of relevant work experience in a mining operations and applications support capacity.
- Advanced skills in testing and quality assurance for application functionality, security, and reliability.
- Strong troubleshooting and issue resolution abilities for mining applications.
- Ability to gather and analyse user feedback to improve application performance.
- Expertise in preparing and maintaining comprehensive application documentation.
- Proficiency in system validation and performance monitoring.
- Strong communication skills for liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Technical proficiency in using project management tools and software.
- Advanced skills in data analysis and reporting using tools such as MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Must be available for FIFO to Lihir
- Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment medical assessment.
- Must have proof of a completed Police Clearance within the last six months.
