The Role

Your core mission is to drive the organization's success by transforming raw logistics and shipping data into actionable insights that enhance operational efficiency, optimize fleet performance, and drive strategic decision-making. You will be directly responsible for developing and maintaining key reports and dashboards using tools like Power BI and Azure, ensuring data integrity and compliance with regulatory standards, and collaborating with operational and finance teams to streamline reporting processes and contribute to informed management decisions.

Main duties include:

• Report Development and Maintenance: Create and maintain reports and dashboards, specifically using tools like Power BI and Azure, including the preparation of monthly Balanced Scorecards.
• Data Collection and Validation: Compile and verify data from logistics systems and external sources (like Excel and delivery schedules) to ensure accuracy.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with the four operating companies (OpCos) and finance teams to understand their reporting needs and deliver customised solutions.
• Process Optimisation: Identify and implement solutions to automate routine reporting tasks (e.g., daily updates) and streamline data processes to improve responsiveness.
• Documentation and Training: Create a repository of data sources, capture operational details (Standard Operating Procedures), and train end-users on reporting functions and data integrity.
• Data Integrity and Security: Uphold the accuracy and confidentiality of data, ensuring compliance with both company policies and Papua New Guinea's regulatory standards.

Qualification and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Accounting or Finance.
• 2-4 years of experience in MIS, reporting, or data analysis, ideally within the logistics, transport, or shipping industry.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong experience with reporting tools like Power BI or similar platforms. Familiarity with logistics software (Cargowise, TM Master, Cadi) or SQL is a strong advantage.
