seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Motor Mechanic to join our growing team. We are a committed to providing high-quality service and customer satisfaction. This is a permanent position with working hours/days, e.g., Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, with occasional weekend work.

About the Role:

As a Motor Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles. You will work both independently and as part of a team to ensure all work is completed to a high standard and within agreed timeframes. most of your work will be out in the field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnostics: Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment, visual inspections, and road tests.
  • Repairs: Perform a wide range of repairs, including engine, transmission, brake, suspension, exhaust, and electrical system repairs.
  • Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance services, such as oil changes, filter replacements, and tire rotations.
  • Inspections: Perform vehicle inspections and identify potential issues.
  • Quality Control: Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and meets company and industry standards.
  • Parts Management: Order and manage parts as needed, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including diagnoses, repairs, and parts used.
  • Customer Service: Communicate effectively with customers, explaining repairs and providing advice.
  • Safety: Adhere to all safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Essential:
    • Qualified Motor Mechanic with a relevant trade qualification (e.g., Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology).
    • Proven experience as a Motor Mechanic 10 years preferred.
    • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
    • Valid driver's license.
  • Desirable:
    • Experience with specific vehicle makes or models.
    • Experience with advanced diagnostic equipment.
